Testing the boundaries between protesting and performing, meditation practices and satire, interaction and oppression, Space disrupted ASFA'a apoliticism and obsession with modernism and the sublime.

The performance had a duration of four hours and was built in 3 parts:

 

1) Warm-up: Through various practices with elements from bioenergetics, yoga and Icelandic breathing techniques,
Space Manifesto organises a collective meditation session especially created for ASFA'S spacial currentscape and its problematic energy surges. This part lasted two hours and it included interactive sessions between Space and visitors as well as moments of yoga through mopping practices at Kessanlis gallery . Space gave various instructions to each participant of the meditation sessions. Only through meditation people could help Space find her missing communist nails and then participate at the next parts of the performance.

 

2) March preparation: Deeply influenced (not) by relational aesthetics and installation art, Space Manifesto makes an open call for the creation of the feminist communist march that followed. Through the technique of assembly (in greek: sinelefsi) we created our banner, our placards, our flyers in order to transform ASFA into the first queer soviet. During the assembly, Space and comrades discussed ASFA's problems such as the antiquated entrance exam system (painting ancient greek statues) and sexism caused by professors. 

 

3) March: Super slutty feminist communist intervention against the fine art normativity in school. Space and comrades including other queer performers, artists and ASFA students visited many studios in ASFA as well as the cafeteria and classrooms throwing flyers and singing slutty queer cheers against sexism, modernism, minimalism , capitalism and normativity. The protest resulted in various reactions by ASFA students including hate speech against the protest.
